Job summary

Bartlett & West is an engineering and professional services firm seeking a senior water/wastewater engineering expert to lead technical efforts and mentor project teams. The role includes internal consultancy, guiding proposals, and client communications across multiple projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in civil water/wastewater, a PE license, and strong leadership, communication, and contract knowledge. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License required in at least one state.
• 10+ years in civil engineering focusing on water and wastewater.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead project teams.
• Experience with design-bid-build and design-build contracting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical specialist in water and wastewater engineering.
• Provide internal technical guidance to PMs for proposals and client presentations.
• Collaborate with PMs on scope, schedules, efforts, and budgets.
• Develop engineering service agreements including scope and fee structures.
• Direct production of deliverables: studies, design, and construction support.
• Mentor and supervise engineers and designers on projects.
• Present at conferences or trade shows as directed.
• Ensure quality across all project deliverables.
