Job summary

Kleinfelder in Texas and Oklahoma is seeking a Water/Wastewater Program Manager to lead municipal water and/or wastewater projects, delivering technical leadership and direction to project teams. Candidates must hold a PE license, have 8–12 years of relevant experience, and be proficient with AutoCAD or WaterCAD.

The role emphasizes client relations, project management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• 8–12 years of related water and wastewater facilities engineering experience; 12+ preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water or wastewater treatment processes and hydraulic design.
• Proficient in engineering design and modeling software such as AutoCAD/WaterCAD.
• Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Business development; client contacts and/or lead client engagements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to present to clients.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions while ensuring quality.
• Manage water and/or wastewater projects with multidisciplinary teams.
• Nurture and grow client relationships and contracts for complex projects.
• Participate in technical scoping activities and proposal presentations.
• Mentor the technical development of staff and grow the team.
• Present at technical conferences and engage in technical committees.
