Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer to lead process design efforts for municipal and industrial projects. The role involves designing treatment and conveyance systems, coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies, and mentoring junior staff.

The position emphasizes ownership of scope, schedule, and budget, with opportunities to collaborate on design-build deliveries and grow within a national water practice. 25% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering or related field with 7 years of process engineering experience.
• Master's degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6 years of experience.
• Experience with water or wastewater process engineering and related facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process design and execution of municipal or industrial water and/or wastewater treatment projects.
• Perform day-to-day process technical work, planning, and management of scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop project objectives and performance goals; interact with clients on technical matters.
• Support client development, technical sales, proposal preparation, and regulatory coordination.
• Mentor junior staff and expand career growth opportunities within the practice.
• Provide support to design-build project deliveries in collaboration with Construction/Design-Build group.
