The role includes training inmates through an on-the-job program, ensuring DEP permit compliance, and preparing reports while supervising inmate workers.

Requires a Class C Water/Wastewater Operator license and a valid Class E driver's license; a Level 2 background check is required and U.S.

Qualificações

• Class C Water and/ or Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License (or higher) is required.
• Valid Class E Driver’s License is required.
• Background screening is required per Florida Statutes and U.S. work eligibility is required.

Responsabilidades

• Operates and maintains Water Treatment and Wastewater Treatment Plants in compliance with DEP permits and regulations.
• Conducts preventive maintenance for both plants and stocks necessary chemicals.
• Repairs breakdowns at the operator level and troubleshoots equipment such as compressors, pumps, air blowers, and chlorinators.
• Cleans bar screens, grit chambers, settling, and sludge beds, and performs water quality tests.
• Prepares operational reports, maintains logs, and supervises inmates, preparing progress reports for their rehabilitation.
