Job summary

Alderwood Water & Wastewater District in Washington state is seeking a Maintenance & Operations Superintendent to lead field operations, ensure reliable water distribution and wastewater collection, and mentor a team of managers. Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible experience supervising and managing the maintenance and operation of water or wastewater systems.
• Bachelor's degree desirable; relevant certifications encouraged.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s License; ability to obtain required certifications within one year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor field operations teams to ensure safe, reliable service.
• Oversee water distribution and wastewater collection operations and district facilities.
• Develop and manage the M&O department budget and staffing.
• Coordinate capital projects with engineering teams and ensure asset longevity.
• Represent the district with community groups and officials, ensuring strong customer service.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and system performance.
