Job summary

Anonymous is seeking an experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Estimator for Colorado Front Range commercial and residential projects. The role involves taking plans and specs to thorough, buildable estimates and pursuing winning bids.

The candidate will review civil plans, perform takeoffs, price labor and materials, and collaborate with PMs, subcontractors, and leadership to deliver competitive, margin-protective bids.

Qualifications

• Significant water/wastewater construction estimating experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial and residential water/wastewater projects
• Review civil, utility, grading plans, specifications, and scopes of work
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals
• Identify scope gaps, risks, exclusions, and opportunities
• Develop competitive bids while protecting project margins
• Collaborate with PMs, superintendents, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, and project handoffs

What We’re Looking For

We need someone who understands the work behind the estimate.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant water/wastewater construction estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial & residential utility infrastructure
• Experience estimating projects in the Colorado Front Range
• Strong construction means, methods, materials, and sequencing knowledge
• Excellent quantity takeoff, pricing, and bid analysis skills
• Experience working directly with subcontractors and suppliers
• Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills
• A stable employment history with demonstrated growth in construction

This is NOT simply a “numbers on a spreadsheet” position.

We’re looking for an estimator who can look at a set of plans and understand what it will actually take to build the project — recognizing challenges, asking the right questions, understanding the local market, and producing an estimate the team can confidently build from.
