Qualifications

• Experience in the design of wastewater systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Ability to use modeling software such as HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, GPS-X, or PCSWMM.
• Knowledge of EPA, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam. Strong critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, design, and development of wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure, including rehabilitation and new construction.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Apply engineering principles related to hydraulics, pipeline networks, and wastewater treatment systems.

• Assist with technical reports, cost estimates, project documentation, and construction administration.
• Participate in project meetings, client discussions, and proposal efforts.

Job description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer II to join our wastewater team in Austin. You will contribute to the planning and design of wastewater collection and treatment infrastructure for municipal clients across Texas, working alongside experienced engineers while taking on increasing ownership of project work and building toward PE licensure.

This is a role for an engineer who has the fundamentals down and wants real project responsibility: calculations, drawings, specifications, field work, and client interaction, with senior engineers around you and a clear path toward project leadership.

We are a nationally recognized architecture, engineering, and construction firm that takes projects from concept through construction under one roof, and we are growing our Austin wastewater group to keep up with the work.
