Job summary

Coffman Engineers in Spokane, WA seeks a Senior Civil Engineer (10+ years) specializing in water resources and wastewater to lead project teams and manage client relationships.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive proposals, and oversee design for municipal and industrial water/wastewater facilities. The position offers a collaborative culture and growth opportunities within a national firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program.
• Master’s degree in related field.
• AEE Diplomate desirable as alternative to master’s degree.
• Professional Engineer licensure with ability to be licensed in WA.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
• Experience with local and State agency/engineering community is a plus.
• Experience designing public water and wastewater treatment facilities is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
• Strong project management, mentoring, and business development skills.
• Salary range: $115,000-$170,000.

Responsibilities

• Support junior engineers focusing on water/wastewater engineering and a larger team of site design civil engineers and surveyors.
• Involve business development in preparing proposals and cross-selling multidiscipline services.
• Grow and mentor a collaborative team, market capabilities, and deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
