Cochran, a growing civil engineering firm with 7 Missouri offices, seeks a Senior Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects across multiple locations. The role emphasizes planning, design, permitting, and construction administration with strong client communication and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a civil engineering degree, 6+ years in water/wastewater, and PM experience, plus knowledge of regulatory processes and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 6+ years in water/wastewater, with 2+ years in PM.
• Proven track record managing municipal/utility projects from concept to construction.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting (DNR, EPA, MoDOT).
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, design, and execution of water distribution and wastewater projects.
• Prepare reports, design calculations, specs, and construction documents.
• Coordinate schedules, budgets, and resources for projects.
• Serve as primary contact with clients, regulators, and subconsultants.
• Conduct site visits, support construction oversight, respond to RFIs/submittals.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and engineering standards.
