Job summary

Ardurra is seeking a Senior Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join our team in San Luis Obispo, CA. This role leads and supports projects focused on water and wastewater systems, delivering innovative engineering solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The candidate will oversee design and feasibility studies, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients and regulators to meet objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 7+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering with project design and management.
• Strong knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic modeling, and infrastructure systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater facilities, distribution and collection systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prepare technical reports, and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project alignment and compliance.
• Perform site assessments, inspections, and evaluations to identify needs and challenges.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, and project scopes.
