Job summary

Waggoner Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Jackson, MS. You will provide planning, design and technical assistance to the design team to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role focuses on water/wastewater systems design, coordination with the discipline manager, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to produce high-quality engineering documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of eight years of experience.
• Experience designing water and/or wastewater facilities.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes and hydraulics.
• Experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Excel or similar tools.
• Ability to develop engineering calculations, plans, specs, and reports.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering analyses and evaluations for planning and design of civil works projects.
• Designs water distribution systems, water supply and treatment components, and sewer systems.
• Assesses existing systems and develops remedial measures.
• Maintains written and verbal communications with clients throughout projects.
• Conducts project status reviews with the project manager and team.
