Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in White Plains, NY. You will lead design teams, mentor junior engineers, and manage client relationships to deliver water and wastewater projects across the NYC region.

You will oversee planning, design, and construction activities, steer multi-disciplinary projects, and ensure business performance metrics are met. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days in-office per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
• PE license in New York and/or in other nearby states (or ability to obtain PE within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the development of water and wastewater projects.
• Utilize knowledge of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump/lift stations, and treatment facilities to deliver projects.
• Lead projects and clients in planning, design, and construction of plants and distribution systems, creating construction documents and overseeing construction.
• Provide technical expertise as design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor on multi-disciplined projects.
• Engage with clients to determine needs and grow client relationships in the White Plains/NYC region.
• Manage project budgets and delivery schedules and lead project teams to meet deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and design/drafting staff.
• Lead marketing and proposal efforts including scopes of work and budgets for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects.
