Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from ABET-accredited university
• PE license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within six months
• 7+ years of municipal infrastructure consulting experience
• Demonstrated municipal water and wastewater treatment process design experience
• Proficiency with Autodesk Civil3D
• Hydraulic collection & distribution modeling a plus
• Strong technical writing & MS Excel/Word skills
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized

Responsibilities

• Design wastewater treatment, water distribution and storage, gravity and pressure sewer systems
• Conduct field inspections and coordinate with clients and other departments
• Prepare technical reports, drawings and specifications
• Support project management within the Water Resources department
• Communicate project progress and findings to clients and leadership
• Grow with the Water Resources team and lead design efforts when appropriate

Job description

We are searching for an engineer specializing in Water/Wastewater for our Memphis, TN office. This role will be responsible for assisting with the design of wastewater treatment, water distribution, water storage and treatment, gravity sewer and pressure sewer projects. Other duties will include field inspections, communication with clients, managing work with other departments, and technical writing. This engineer will grow with the Water Resources department and have an opportunity to design and manage projects.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Tennessee or ability to obtain in six months
• 7+ years of consulting experience in municipal infrastructure
• Must have demonstrable municipal water and wastewater treatment process design experience
• Must be proficient in the utilization of Autodesk Civil3D
• Hydraulic collection and distribution system modeling is a plus
• Strong technical writing skills
• Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and Word)
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized
