Job summary

InterAgency Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer to serve as a senior technical authority on water and wastewater conveyance work in the DC region. This role leads engineering on active programs, sets technical standards, and mentors engineers across the practice.

Responsibilities include hydraulic analysis, design for pipelines and lift stations, QA/QC oversight, and client-facing delivery. The position is full-time, hybrid in the DC metro area, with compensation commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 10+ years of water and wastewater conveyance engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license; licensure in DC/MD/VA preferred.
• Experience as technical lead, project manager, or program manager.
• Strong knowledge of conveyance planning, hydraulic analysis, and QA/QC.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical resource on water and wastewater conveyance projects.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis and modeling and review results.
• Prepare and seal engineering deliverables as a PE.
• Lead day-to-day technical tasks and coordinate with partners and client staff.
• Provide construction-phase engineering support.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to QA/QC standards.
• Contribute to SOQs, proposals, scopes, and fee estimates.
• Manage scope, budget, and schedule; act as client-facing technical lead.
