Job summary

InterAgency Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to perform design and analysis on water and wastewater conveyance projects in the DC–MD–VA region. You will support senior engineers with hydraulic modeling, plans, and field coordination.

The role requires 5+ years in conveyance, a PE license or EIT with PE in progress, and proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and GIS. Hybrid work in the DC metro area is available, with client-site visits as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required.
5+ years of progressive engineering experience focused on water and wastewater conveyance.
Current PE license or EIT with PE exams in progress; DC/MD/VA licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform design and analysis tasks for water and wastewater conveyance, including hydraulic capacity evaluation and alternatives analyses.
Produce plans and specifications in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, GIS, and MS Office; incorporate review comments.
Support condition assessment, inflow and infiltration, and capacity assurance work with data and GIS analysis.
Support construction-phase services: submittals, RFIs, field observation, and record drawings.
Conduct site reconnaissance, flow monitoring, and coordination with partners and clients.
