Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager in Austin, TX to lead critical water, wastewater, and advanced treatment plant construction projects for municipal and industrial clients. Delivery methods include CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or Design-Bid-Build.

You will plan, staff key positions, set objectives, manage finances, and coordinate with prime clients and A/E contacts to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering/construction management or equivalent.
• 8–15 years of construction, design, finance and management experience on heavy civil or industrial projects.
• 3–5 years of water or wastewater plant project experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of project delivery methods and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, staff, and coordinate key field positions and project managers.
• Establish objectives, policies, and performance standards.
• Interface with prime clients and A/E contacts to facilitate activities.
• Monitor on-site work to keep schedule and budget; implement corrective actions.
• Represent the company in project meetings and negotiations.
• Manage contracts finances to protect company interests.
• Provide leadership and support to project engineers and superintendents.
• Oversee procurement of subcontractors and materials.
• Support change management, cost estimating, revenue forecasting, and scheduling.
• Take on additional duties as directed.
