Job summary

Davie Inc. seeks an experienced supervisor for its water treatment facility. Under general supervision, you will oversee operations and mechanical maintenance, assist in management and daily plant operations, and coordinate laboratory sampling.

Reports to the Chief Operator. The role includes training staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining records, and leading maintenance and repair activities. Requires a Class B and Class A water license with Florida DEP or the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited High School or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of treatment plant experience including 2 years in mechanical and electrical repair.
• At least 1 year experience in supervisory or lead capacity position.

Responsibilities

• Provides training, technical support and guidance in treatment plant activities.
• Supervises maintenance, repair and operation of plant and laboratory.
• Reviews subordinates' work for completeness and accuracy; evaluates and makes recommendations.
• Interprets operating data and institutes procedures to assure continuous, efficient treatment; handles emergencies and notifies supervisor.
• Ensures safe, effective operations per state and federal regulations.
• Assists with repair and routine maintenance of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Maintains accurate records on plant operation, maintenance and laboratory data.
• Orders and tracks inventory of chemicals used and water treated.
• Assist in preparation of regulatory reports.
• Assists in formulating and implementing standard operating procedures.
• Ensures safe use of treatment supplies.
• Participates in new worker orientation; provides training to plant personnel.
• Reports unusual or major problems to the Chief Operator.
• Performs other related work as required.
