Job summary

Veolia is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to oversee day-to-day plant operations, monitor equipment, perform lab tests, and carry out preventative maintenance. The role requires operating controls, troubleshooting complex systems, and maintaining safety standards at all times.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED plus at least five years of related uptime experience. Proficiency with PPE and instrumentation is essential, and rotating on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ability to read and follow instructions.
• Some vocational training and mechanical aptitude.
• Five years of related experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment and monitors processes using panels and control units.
• Performs mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Collects samples and performs field tests to adjust chemical dosages.
• Conducts lab tests and reports results per procedures (pH, alkalinity, DO, bacteria, nutrients, residuals).
• Maintains and calibrates equipment, logs observations, and reports issues.
• Assists with maintenance and inventory of parts and spares; may train new staff.
