Job summary

You will work under the Water Treatment Plant Operations Supervisor and may assist in maintenance tasks to ensure continuous operation.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be licensed by the State of Georgia as a Class I, II, or III Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Responsibilities

• Regulates flows of raw water according to demand without exceeding permits.
• Performs process control analyses and reports results.
• Maintains chemical levels and handles chlorine, alum, lime, and other regulated chemicals.
• Operates SCADA to monitor and adjust treatment processes.
• Monitors filters, backwash frequency, and plant performance.
