Job summary

Henry County Water Authority is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to manage surface water treatment processes on an overnight shift in Georgia. You will monitor SCADA data, regulate chemical feeds, and ensure compliance with state and federal water quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
• Must be licensed by the State of Georgia as a Class I, II, or III Surface Water Treatment Plant Operator.

Responsibilities

• Regulates flows of raw water into the treatment plant according to system demand and permits.
• Performs all required process control analyses and interprets results.
• Maintains proper chemical levels in feed equipment and regulatory compliance.
• Regulates amounts of chemicals to meet water quality regulations.
• Manages filter operations, backwash timing, and head loss monitoring.
• Monitors and records process data via SCADA and logs equipment performance.
• Assists in maintenance and basic repairs of plant equipment.
• Cleans basins and filter beds and maintains cleanliness of facilities.
