Job summary

Hawkins, Inc./WaterSurplus is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to lead on-site service for water treatment equipment, including startups, commissioning, testing, and training. You will supervise field personnel and ensure quality, safety, and timely project completion across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in chemical, mechanical, or electrical design with at least 7 years in water treatment equipment service, PLC programming, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical design/equipment repair is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in equipment service and start-up in water treatment.
• Electrical and PLC programming experience is required.
• Ability to read equipment drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and manuals.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides onsite and offsite installation, service, start-up, commissioning, testing, and training for water treatment equipment.
• Support field service goals, ensuring timely start-ups and cost control for onsite time and materials.
• Assist with refurbishments, build-outs, and testing of equipment for delivery or storage.
• Maintain tools and vehicle readiness; ensure safe operations and OSHA compliance.
• Train Field Service Engineers and Technicians to ensure successful start-ups.
