Job summary

WaterSurplus, a Hawkins, Inc. business unit, is seeking an Applications Engineer to support sales and operations in its water treatment segment. You will assist with process design, equipment selection, and detailed costing for customer projects.

Travel to client sites for layout reviews and commissioning is expected. The role requires a BS in engineering and at least 5 years in water treatment, with hands-on CAD skills (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) and strong written/spoken communication.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering field (mechanical, chemical, civil, electrical or life sciences/environmental).
• Minimum 5 years in water treatment or related industries.
• Experience with design, costing, and equipment specification for water treatment projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house support to sales regarding equipment and services.
• Develop unified sales proposals across divisions.
• Provide process design, equipment selection and costing details.
• Travel to customer sites for plant layouts and equipment hookup.
• Produce design guidance and costing transferable to operations/engineering.
• Prepare documents compatible with ERP and company standards.
• Include costing breakdowns per equipment and labors for project execution.
