Job summary

Hawkins, Inc./WaterSurplus seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, direct, and coordinate instruments and controls across products including new equipment, rental fleet, and surplus assets. Responsibilities include PLC programming, HMI development, wiring, and cabinet design.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum training in automation or electrical technology preferred.
• Experience in process industry with water/wastewater experience preferred.
• Proficient in mathematics and electrical principles; able to design and review customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Designs or reviews customer specifications to meet project requirements.
• Completes electrical engineering design, PLC programming, HMI development, wiring, and cabinet design.
• Engineers projects by selecting electrical hardware/software and developing detailed plans.
• Negotiates with customers on designs; presents proposals and findings.
• Collaborates with production and other functions to meet specs.
• Prepares budgets, cost estimates, bids, and contracts; handles inquiries on controls and instrumentation.
