Placements24 is sourcing a Senior Process Engineer for an environmental engineering firm in Paarl, Western Cape. The role focuses on water and wastewater treatment process design, optimization, and regulatory compliance.

You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and stay abreast of advancements in water treatment technologies. The ideal candidate has 6+ years in process engineering, strong skills in coagulation, flocculation, filtration, disinfection, and membrane tech, and proficiency

Formación

• Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of process engineering experience focused on water and wastewater treatment.
• Proficiency with coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and membrane techs.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop processes for water and wastewater treatment.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot tests for new treatment techs.
• Optimize existing treatment processes for efficiency and environmental compliance.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specs.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and mass/energy balances.
• Troubleshoot and implement solutions for treatment plants.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and permits.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and construction teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support.
