Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, seeks a Section Chief in the Water Resources Branch to lead a multidisciplinary team of Project Managers. You will oversee CSRM, FRM, and NAV civil works projects across Florida, directing study through construction and O&M to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities include aligning district goals with enterprise policies, mentoring staff, assisting with budgets and funding streams, identifying risks, and communicating project

Qualifications

• Experience directing or managing complex civil works or water resources infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Ability to brief executive leadership and stakeholders.
• Experience with project management systems for budgets and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise a multi-disciplinary team of Project Managers.
• Oversee study, design, construction, and O&M phases of projects.
• Align unit goals with district, division, and enterprise policies.
• Manage budgets, funding streams, and schedule risks.
• Represent the District at executive briefings with sponsors and regulators.
