Job summary

St. Johns River Water Management District seeks an experienced Professional Engineer to perform civil, structural, and water resources design.

Responsibilities include preparing drawings, specs, calculations, and cost estimates, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure constructible, compliant designs. The ideal candidate will hold a Florida PE license (or obtain within one year) and be able to work on projects across northeast and east-central Florida, including Jacksonville or

Qualifications

• State of Florida PE license is required or ability to obtain within one year.
• Office-based with periodic fieldwork at Florida project sites.
• Experience in civil/structural/water resources design and project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, specs, material takeoffs, cost estimates, plans and supporting design documentation.
• Serve as engineer of record and ensure compliance with laws, codes, standards, and permit requirements.
• Develop design criteria, evaluate alternatives, define scopes, schedules and budgets, and identify risks.
