The St. Johns River Water Management District seeks an experienced Senior Professional Engineer to lead regional water resource infrastructure projects through design and construction.

The ideal candidate will oversee pipelines, dams, levees, reservoirs, and other developments across northeast and east-central Florida. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and Florida PE or ability to obtain within one year.
• Minimum five years of civil engineering experience with water resources emphasis.
• Experience leading large-scale water resource infrastructure projects through design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead major engineering projects through design and construction with scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Apply engineering judgment to assess project decisions and effects on scope and cost.
• Review consultant deliverables including reports, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contracts.
• Ensure QA/QC for completeness, operability, and maintainability of work products.
• Monitor project performance and report risks and status to management.
• Oversee consultant services and construction administration to meet objectives.
• Lead design and construction procurement activities, including bids and contracts.
