Job summary

Vanasse Hangen Brustlin Inc. seeks a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead hydraulics and hydrology projects across New England. You will guide staff, perform advanced modeling, and deliver design and permit-ready documentation for riverine and coastal flood resiliency initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership, client interaction, and the ability to mentor others within a collaborative, hybrid-work environment across multiple offices in the Northeast.

Qualifications

11+ years of experience in water resource engineering and analysis required.
BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering; masters may substitute for 2 years of experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required or in progress.

Responsibilities

Lead multi-disciplinary projects with hydrologic, hydraulic, and resiliency focus.
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using current modeling software.
Develop reports, designs, and construction documents for water resources projects.
Lead permit evaluation, client interactions, and regulatory meetings.
Mentor and expand technical resources within staff.
