Job summary

VHB is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead cutting-edge hydraulics and resiliency projects across New England. The role centers on hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, modeling, and serving as a technical leader for public and private clients.

Based in the Greater Boston area or any New England office, you will guide complex riverine and coastal flood mitigation efforts, develop proposals, and mentor staff while collaborating with an integrated regional team.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of experience in water resource engineering and analysis.
• BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering; master's degree may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary projects with hydrologic, hydraulic, and resiliency focus.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic studies using modeling software (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, HY-8, EPA SWMM, SRH-2D/SMS, CHAMP).
• Develop technical reports, design plans, construction documents, and specifications.
• Lead construction administration for water resources projects.
• Mentor staff and expand technical resources.
