Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

The individual will support transportation projects by performing water resources tasks such as hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater, drainage, erosion, sediment control design, flood studies, bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, and report preparation. The Transportation Team serves agencies, municipalities, private land developers, and corporations in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Required Attributes
  • PE license
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 5-12 years of experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, floodplain management, stream restoration, culvert and bridge hydraulics, erosion control, drainage and stormwater design, plan review, and report writing.
  • Proficiency in Microstation v8i, ArcGIS, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Storm and SewerCAD, WinTR-55, WinTR-20, HydroCAD, SMS/SRH2D.
  • Strong technical writing skills and plan production experience, preferably with MicroStation.
  • Understanding of state DOT design criteria, especially with DelDOT, MDSHA, VDOT, DCDOT, PennDOT projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience interacting with clients on technical challenges and project management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and roles within a team.
  • Active participation in professional societies is encouraged.
