Job summary

Westwood Professional Services seeks a Water Resources Principal Engineer to serve as SME in stormwater management for renewable energy projects. You will provide technical oversight, QA/QC, and mentor junior staff while shaping technical strategies and cross-divisional collaboration.

The role requires leading service-specific quality programs, advising clients, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. A PE license and 10+ years in the field are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience with engineering consulting firms or EPCs in renewables.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer certification with multi-state licensure ability.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for stormwater management and related engineering areas.
• Provide technical support across technical expertise, quality, staff development, and market support.
• Review designs and manage QA/QC procedures for high-risk or new technology.
• Mentor staff and lead technical training within the service line.
• Represent technical capability in client meetings, conferences, and industry organizations.
