TYG is seeking an experienced Stormwater Engineer to lead a team, overseeing complex water resources projects and driving strong results for public and private clients.

You will manage planning through design, mentor junior engineers, and deliver sustainable stormwater, drainage, and flood mitigation solutions while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering
  • PE license required
  • Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams
  • Strong background in stormwater management, drainage design, watershed planning, and flood mitigation
  • Experience using hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar programs
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex stormwater and water resources projects from planning through design and implementation
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and technical quality while ensuring client satisfaction
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and collaborate with clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide technical leadership on stormwater management, drainage, watershed, and flood mitigation projects
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers while helping grow and strengthen the team
  • Support business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying new project opportunities
  • Deliver sustainable, innovative engineering solutions across a diverse range of infrastructure projects

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stormwater Engineer to step into a leadership role, managing complex water resources projects while helping grow and mentor a high-performing team. You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects spanning stormwater management, watershed planning, drainage design, flood mitigation, and environmental compliance, working closely with both public and private sector clients.

The Ideal Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in stormwater or water resources engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing or mentoring engineering teams
  • Strong technical background in stormwater management, drainage design, watershed planning, and flood mitigation
