Job summary

BETA Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Stormwater Project Engineer to support our Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Civil Site, and Water Resources teams. The role leads stormwater projects, supports watershed planning and permitting, and promotes nature-based solutions to improve infrastructure and resilience.

Preferred location is Norwood, MA with a hybrid schedule (remote up to 2 days/week). Requirements: Civil or Environmental Engineering degree, PE license, 12–15+ years in water resources or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 12 to 15+ years of related engineering experience in water resources and/or stormwater projects.
• Strong background in environmental engineering and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of MS4 and other NPDES programs.
• Strong writing and ability to prepare formal reports.
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil3D and ArcGIS/Pro.
• Must be able to collect field data and measurements and perform asset inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform, manage, and oversee stormwater planning and design projects.
• Technical design lead on concurrent projects.
• Recommend solutions to engineering issues.
• Manage projects including scope, budget and schedules through construction phases.
• Provide responsive client service through strong and prompt communication.
• Lead/mentor young professionals and contribute to business development.
• Collaborate across disciplines and office locations.
• Properly scope, schedule and budget assignments/projects.
• Continue to broaden technical skills within the discipline.
• Lead team, client and public meetings.
