Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for Morenci, AZ to lead site-wide water management, tailings, and process water projects. You will supervise teams, interpret data, and support design and operations with predictive simulations.

The role requires civil engineering credentials, water resources expertise, and strong communication. On-site work with housing allowance and extensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with five years of experience, or
• Master's degree with three years of experience in Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of civil, geotechnical, water resources, water quality/treatment and/or geological engineering.
• Design/operations experience in tailings storage, leach stockpiles, water dams, or process water balance.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD/analytical/mapping tools.
• Fluency in English; Engineer-in-Training or equivalent.
• Strong communication and professional image; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and guide projects to maintain operational performance for water systems.
• Quantify water accounting, data collection, flow mapping, analysis and forecasting.
• Review reports for design and operations projects and provide recommendations.
• Develop and maintain water balance models and simulation studies.
• Contribute to site planning, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Identify opportunities for water management improvements and value.
