Job summary

Olsson is seeking an Experienced Civil Engineer - Water Resources to join our Water Resources team in Overland Park, KS or Springfield, MO on a hybrid schedule. You will contribute to planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services to deliver reliable water resources solutions for communities.

You will develop hydrologic and hydraulic models, support stormwater design, and collaborate with project teams to achieve project objectives while applying your expertise in Civil 3D and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field
• Engineer Intern (EI) or (IE) certificate
• Minimum of two years of experience
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and HEC-RAS modeling software
• Exceptional problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Perform various tasks, immersing you in practical experience and exposure to diverse engineering facets, methods, and programs
• Execute precise technical engineering calculations
• Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for floodplain modeling and mapping
• Engage in design and management tasks for stormwater projects, including channel stabilization/restoration, storm drain systems, culverts, and water quality features
• Coordinate with project managers and project teams to achieve project objectives
• Innovate and introduce new ideas to projects, showcasing your creativity and initiative
