Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer to join our growing Dam Safety and Water Resources practice. This role may be based in Philadelphia, Exton, Bristol, Blue Bell, and other Mid-Atlantic locations, supporting complex dam safety and flood risk projects for public and private clients.

The ideal candidate balances technical excellence, project delivery, client engagement, and team leadership while mentoring staff and shaping strategy for the practice nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
• PE license with ability to obtain additional state licensures as needed.
• Strong knowledge of dam safety and hydraulic infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with dam, levee projects and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading engineers and reviewers on complex projects.
• Willingness to travel occasionally based on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform dam and levee engineering analyses, including inspections and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for dam safety.
• Support dam rehabilitation and modification projects with technical teams.
• Prepare and support Emergency Action Plans and inundation mapping.
• Lead project teams and coordinate to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Review and oversee analyses and reports for junior staff.
