Job summary

City of Avondale seeks a Senior Water Reclamation Mechanic to maintain and repair critical treatment equipment at the Water Reclamation Facility. You will install, modify, and perform preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, and electrical assets, while working under supervision to improve operations and reduce downtime.

The role requires at least two years in industrial maintenance, valid ADEQ certification or ability to obtain within six months, and participation in on-call after-hours duties.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance on machinery and industrial equipment.
• Experience with pumps, valves, motors, blowers and related gear preferred.
• ADEQ Wastewater Certification or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair pumps, valves, motors and associated equipment.
• Install, modify and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Respond to on-call repairs during after-hours as needed.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and coordinate with operations.
• Assist other divisions and ensure safety protocols are followed.
