Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Senior Analyst (Certification Engineer) for Water Product to oversee global electrical and drinking water certification approvals. The role interfaces with third-party certifiers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure compliant listings.

You will drive submittals, manage approvals, and guide design changes while ensuring safe, compliant product launches worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7+ years in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or quality engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Experience with UL and IEC product safety standards.
• Experience securing NSF/ANSI 61, 372, and drinking water standards.
• Proven track record with UPC/plumbing standards for water components.
• Strong communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify applicable electrical and drinking water standards for target products.
• Review designs early to identify non-compliance risks.
• Define and manage agency deliverables and tracking.
• Lead facilities and suppliers through unannounced audits.
• Evaluate design changes and determine re-submittal needs.
• Educate teams on material and design requirements.
• Coordinate with procurement to secure necessary formulations and UL cards.
• Collaborate across functions and provide technical support.
