Job summary

Whirlpool Corporation in Marion, OH is seeking a Senior Engineer, Product Testing to establish functional tests for manufactured appliances and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure world class quality.

You will manage testing processes, document test requirements, support manufacturing operations, and contribute to new product introductions while following the Whirlpool Product Development process.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a related field (Engineering, CS, or Technology).
• 3+ years of technical manufacturing implementation and execution experience.
• Experience with electronic equipment and manufacturing testing functions.

Responsibilities

• Manages testing process to ensure comprehensive documentation and coverage of unit functional test requirements.
• Works across multiple appliance categories to ensure best practices are consistently applied to all functional test methods.
• Follows Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) defined process to ensure vertical startup and world class quality for all new product introductions.
• Provides Testing Engineer coverage for Marion, OH Operations and across categories to ensure timely project delivery during high demand periods.
• Interfaces with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams to coordinate priorities into test methods.
• Supports day-to-day operations by providing technical expertise in manufacturing-based testing processes.
• Provides input into new equipment acquisition projects to ensure testing equipment is consistent and capable.
