Job summary

Stantec in Miami seeks a principal-level technical leader to provide senior direction on complex water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with emphasis on advanced process engineering, process modeling, and digital solutions.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, startup, and optimization, champion AI-enabled tools and digital twins, mentor engineers, and act as a trusted advisor to clients and delivery leadership.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in wastewater process engineering, process modeling and analysis, and practical implementation of engineered solutions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on large water/wastewater projects.
• Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable design guidance.

Responsibilities

• Advance innovation, standardization, cross-training, and development of advanced technical tools, AI-enabled tools, digital twins, analytical models, and scalable workflows.
• Serve as principal technical advisor and senior reviewer for complex water and wastewater treatment projects, emphasizing advanced process engineering and optimization.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through planning, design, permitting, procurement, implementation, startup, commissioning, and optimization.
• Provide senior technical direction for wastewater treatment processes and facilities, including biological treatment and energy efficiency.
• Lead QA/QC, constructability, biddability, operability, maintainability, and risk reviews for designs and construction documents.
• Translate advanced technical analyses into practical design and operational guidance that improves quality and reduces risk.
