Job summary

Stantec in Pasadena, California is seeking a Principal Water/Wastewater Engineer to lead water and wastewater projects, manage clients, and drive project delivery. The role emphasizes leadership, proposal development, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams in municipal and industrial water markets.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and advance innovative solutions across planning, design, and construction.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance projects from pursuit to construction.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with internal staff, subconsultants, vendors, and clients.
• Strong client service, project management, and design management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Engage in business development and project delivery as a client-facing Project Leader in municipal/industrial water in California.
• Manage project staff, financials, and contracts to meet performance goals and client expectations.
• Lead implementation of project delivery structures and provide technical leadership on water/wastewater solutions.
• Coordinate with clients and leadership on strategic relationships and opportunities in California.
