Job summary

GBA is seeking a Civil Engineer V – Water Lead Engineer in Lenexa, KS, to provide strategic technical leadership on complex potable water projects and mentor engineers. You will shape best practices, guide design for distribution, storage, and treatment facilities, and collaborate with project leaders to ensure technical excellence.

Ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with hydraulic modeling tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for potable water distribution, transmission, storage, and treatment projects.
• Lead design oversight, QA/QC across multiple projects, and ensure engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development through proposals and client engagement.
• Review calculations, hydraulic models, and technical reports.
