Job summary

Carollo Engineers is seeking an experienced pipeline engineer to join our water-focused team in Southern California. This role emphasizes planning, design, and construction of water infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on safe, efficient pipeline systems.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations for pipeline projects.
• Ability to provide constructability review for pipeline design projects.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, design and construction for the infrastructure market in Southern California (San Diego area focus in the posting).
• Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing field work, alternatives analysis, and report preparation.
• Design of water and wastewater infrastructure pipeline projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations needed to size and select project facilities.
• Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates for various infrastructure projects.
• Assist with coordinating work of other discipline engineers, designers, modelers, technicians, and others assisting with project work.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction.
