Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations for pipeline projects.
• Ability to provide constructability review for pipeline design projects.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• 10–15 years of pipeline experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in California.

Responsibilities

• Project planning, design and construction for water and infrastructure projects in San Diego and Southern California.
• Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, field oversight, analyses and report preparation.
• Design of water and wastewater pipeline projects.
• Perform hydraulic calculations to size project facilities.
• Develop plans, specifications and cost estimates for projects.
• Coordinate work with other discipline engineers, designers and technicians.
• Review contractor submittals and RFIs during construction.
