Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Senior Product Service Specialist – Water Heaters. This remote role supports customers and partners across the US, focusing on heat pump, gas, and electric water heater service, installation, troubleshooting, and field investigations.

You will work with engineering, quality, and service teams to improve serviceability and customer experience, including creating service bulletins and training materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification preferred.
• Licensed Master Plumber preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in field service or technical product support.
• Experience with water heater types (heat pump, gas, electric).
• Ability to read installation instructions and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary technical resource for customers, distributors, dealers, and service partners on water heaters.
• Provide technical product support, startup, commissioning, and issue escalation.
• Support resolution of field and customer issues with internal teams.
• Participate in field investigations, data gathering, and root cause analysis with engineering and quality.
• Recommend corrective actions and service guidance updates based on trends.
• Represent service in new product introductions and cross-functional discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, product management, sourcing, and service teams.
• Assist with on-site or virtual technical training and troubleshooting for customers.
• Review, edit, and update installation instructions, service literature, and wiring diagrams.
• Author service bulletins, FAQs, and technical guidance for field use.
