Kiewit is seeking a Water Design Manager to lead and integrate multi-discipline engineering for large municipal and industrial water and wastewater projects across North America. Based in Lone Tree, CO, the role focuses on aligning clients, external partners, internal engineers, and construction teams to deliver value and success through design-build, CMAR, and EPC delivery.

The WDM will guide technical strategy, manage scope, budget, schedule, and quality, and ensure constructibility and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical or related engineering field is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (P.Eng. for Canadian candidates).
• 10+ years of experience in water and/or wastewater engineering or similar industries, including at least 5 years as a Design Manager/Engineering Project Manager.
• Experience delivering projects through progressive design-build, design-build, CMAR and/or EPC. Working with contractors preferred.
• Strong client-facing communication, presentation and negotiation skills, with ability to build consensus among stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Lead and integrate multi-discipline engineering teams on municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects from pursuit to closeout.
• Support pursuit strategy by testing technical assumptions and linking design choices to field execution.
• Develop and review engineering fees using company templates.
• Set up engineering execution plans with scope, budget, schedule, staffing, and quality expectations.
• Ensure design decisions are constructible and aligned with cost and field execution.
• Provide technical leadership across disciplines and coordinate interfaces.
