Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration is seeking an Advanced Water Damage Specialist to lead the drying and repair of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. You will supervise crews, document progress, and ensure safety and quality per BELFOR standards.

The role emphasizes field measurements, humidity control, electrical considerations for temporary power, and occasional travel or night/weekend work as required. IICRC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC ASD designation.
• Mastery of BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; understand materials affected vs. unaffected.
• Understand air mover calculations and LGR dehumidification charts.
• Proficiency with HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro Moisture Meter; record data.
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.
• English language literacy and fluency.

Responsibilities

• Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
• Review daily requirements of projects, document progress and notify managers.
• Provide field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches.
• Draw sketches, read plans, develop humidity content records, pyrometric records.
• Calculate humidity load, cubic meters affected, request additional support for large losses.
• Determine electrical consumption of drying equipment and temporary power needs.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Attention to detail and adherence to BELFOR standards.
• Inform time worked and equipment/consumables used in a timely manner.
• Attend BELFOR operations and security training courses as required.
