Qualifications

• 5+ years of wastewater treatment process design in a consulting environment.
• EIT or PE license (or eligible within 12 months).
• BioWin or GPS-X modeling experience is a core requirement.
• Strong grounding in activated sludge kinetics and nutrient removal chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design for wastewater treatment facilities including preliminary, primary and secondary treatment and disinfection.
• Design and evaluate nutrient removal systems (BNR, nitrification/denitrification, MBR, IFAS, MBBR, SBR, AS sludge).
• Build and calibrate process models in BioWin or GPS-X; run plant simulations and sensitivity analyses.
• Develop mass balances, load projections and design criteria; size unit processes.
• Support aeration system design, blower, diffuser and equipment selection with vendors.
• Design solids handling trains including digestion, dewatering and biosolids management.
• Produce PFDs, P&IDs, process narratives and equipment specs; support permitting submittals.
• Provide startup, commissioning and optimization support; troubleshoot plants.
