Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Wastewater Process Project Engineer to join the Resilience Water Team in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on leading wastewater treatment process and mechanical design, mentoring junior staff, and growing the water practice across Florida with regional and national project involvement.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in water/wastewater process mechanical design, a PE license in Florida or reciprocity within 6 months, and strong communication and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of water/wastewater process mechanical design experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering.
• Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical knowledge to develop design team capabilities.
• Lead project tasks in planning, design, permitting and construction of wastewater facilities and related documents.
• Lead detailed engineering calculations and utilize modeling (BioWin) and design software as needed.
• Manage capacity and facility evaluations and master/facility plans for wastewater systems.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and draft staff.
• Collaborate with the National Wastewater Practice Leader for technical alignment.
• Engage with professional organizations and leadership on research and innovative wastewater technologies.
• Assist in preparing proposals, scopes and budgets for projects.
• Occasional travel for project meetings, site visits, and client interactions.
