Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitors gauges, meters, control panels and process control computers.
• Operates valves, pumps, engines and generators to adjust flows and treatment processes.
• Performs routine maintenance, inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment, and assists with major repairs as needed.
• Maintains shift logs, records meter readings and laboratory results, and follows regulatory requirements.
• Oversees lower-level staff on rotating shifts; may act as shift supervisor.
• Performs routine sampling and testing of wastewater as required by agencies.
